Beginning in April 2008 I began my term as Vice-President of Devil Dancesport. Devil Dancesport is a student organization that works through the SORC and Student Recreation Complex at ASU. We are ASU’s Premier Ballroom club. We serve the Ballroom/Latin/Swing students at ASU by providing training, workshops, and assist in travel to regional and national collegiate competitions. In April 2008 we took over 100 students to compete in Las Vegas at UNLV’s Desert Challenge.

In fall 2008 I was nominated as the co-president of the SCA executive council. The council serves as representation for the Sports Clubs at Arizona State University. We represent anywhere from 800 to 1100 students depending on the sports season.

With the help of my fellow officers I devised an appropriations committee, budgetary request form, funding application and hearing process to allocate $55,000 in funding from ASU’s Undergraduate Student Government. Additionally I created a set of safeties to ensure that the funding was tracked and monitored throughout the disbursal process. On November 25th 2008 I stood before the USG Senate and gave a review of the process and the budget that my team created. We received formal approval and are now in the process of allocating the funding to those clubs who met our requirements.
