Many of you may remember my troubles overseas in 09. Two good pairs of boots, a hard eight months of daily travel and use, Central, Eastern and Northern Europe, Turkey, the UK, and Ireland, and the constant hard work, positive attitude, generosity, and honorable intent of the LOWA boot company. I had two quality issues with first my KODI GTX, and then their replacement’s the Renegade GTX that I’d located in Germany. Through the hard work of Amy and her customer service team, the U.S. Office located a Germany representative, worked out a replacement for my damaged boots, and had them replaced while I was overseas. Saving my trip and my already tight budget.
Recently after another issue with the Renegades, LOWA worked hard, was generous, and went beyond the call of duty upgrading me from their hiking line to a trekking line which they felt would better fit my journey.
I’d like to thank and speak out on behalf of LOWA’s fantastic customer service. I’ve had three unfortunate opportunities that merited contacting LOWA, and each time they’ve proven themselves dedicated to their customer base, supportive, generous, and polite. In an era where manufactures and distributors often write off their customers as nothing more than a fat checkbook, LOWA’s support team makes a difference, cares about its customers, and strives to give the highest possible service and product.
The comfort, versatility, reputation and durability of their boots drew me to the company and my first purchase, their attitude and the way they’ve interacted with me as a customer has secured me as a dedicated return customer.
I’ve worn my LOWA boots, first my KODI’s, then my Renegades through Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Central Europe, the UK and Ireland over a period of eight months.

My Renegades, after being replaced have served me here in the states through wilderness first aid, logistics and disaster responses during my work with the American Red Cross, and hard hiking and travel.
I leave for Central Africa next week for a two and a half year adventure into the depths of rural Zambia. Thanks to LOWA’s customer service, attitude, and reputation, The boots I trust and am taking? LOWA.
